Centrally located doors are in recessed portico are both wood with one-panel below two lights. Rectangular transom above. The door is flanked on either side by large wood-frame 2/1 fixed light display windows with brick bulkheads below. Above the façade is a full-width canvas awning supported by aluminum frames. Two recessed brick signboards with corbelling above, followed by sawtooth cor-nice directly above. At top of the building is pressed metal parapet with finials at each corner with triglyph below rosettes. Large semi-circle in center of parapet with dimpled egg cornice and central rosette.
Historic Information
The date of "ca. 1970" given for this building in the National Register district nomination is a typographical error. It apparently dates to about 1870-75. It is clearly shown on the Sanborn map of January 1887 and later Sanborn maps.
