| Located in west-central Meridian, Highland Park occupies a thirty-two acre tract formerly belonging to the Meridian Fair and Exposition Corporation. It was created in 1908-09 and opened as a city park in 1909. The park was listed on the National Register on 28 February 1979. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 1984. Highland Park is included in "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (p. 222, EM24). |
