Local Designations
City
County

"Local Designation" refers to a district or landmark that a local governing body--such as a city or county--has declared to be historic. Normally, proposed exterior changes to a property that is located within a local district or designated individually as a local landmark must be approved in advance by the local historic preservation commission. This list is based on information received from many local governments and is updated regularly; however, it should not be considered a complete listing of all local district and/or landmarks in the state. Search results should be verified by contacting your local planning or building office to ensure compliance with town, city, and/or county preservation ordinances.
Search Results are limited to 500 Records
