Composed of WILLIAM S. HULL and his brother FRANCIS BLAIR HULL (also known as "Hull Bros."). Owned a Lumber Yard on S. State Street in 1886 see Sanborn map, p. 6). William was the architect of the firm. Made a proposal for the new Jefferson Parish Courthouse (LA) in 1905. Offices in the Seutter Building in Jackson in 1905. J.M. BRAMLETT may have worked with this firm in 1903, since he served as supervising architect on the Sumner (Tallahatchie Co.) CH in that year. W.N. BAXTER was listed as "con. agt." in 1898-1899. |

In 1907, advertising in Architectural Art and its Allies, Vol. III, #7, p. 25, as "Agents for Pauly Jail Bldg. Co., St. Louis, MO." At this time, the company was located at 505-6 Seutter Bldg, Jackson, MS. When operating as agents for Pauly, the firm may have been known as F.B. Hull Jail Building Company, as they were on the Jackson County Jail project in 1899. |

Born in 1846 in Jackson, brother of WILLIAM S. HULL. Served as alderman for Jackson 1882-1884. In business 1876-1904 as F.B. & W.S. HULL. Listed in the Directory of American Cement Industries and Handbook for Cement Users (1902) under the heading "Engineers, Architects and Other Supervisors of the Use of Cement" (p. 632). After 1904, formed partnership with son named F.B. HULL CONSTRUCTION CO. Married a second time, Isabella D. Rogers of Los Angeles, after the death of his first wife Clara.
