McHuley, Bilbo (b.1923 - d.2003)
Builder/Contractor, Jackson, MS
African American contractor. Served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. Trained as a contractor at the Cowboy Maloney Lumber Co. after WWII. Later worked for Frank Maxwell and W.J. THOMPSON in their residential developments for African Americans in Jackson, including what is now the Medgar Evers Historic District. Began his own contracting business in the early 1960s (?) and by the 1990s had built about 20 churches in the Jackson area. Office at 1114-A Lynch Street. Died July 29, 2003 and buried in Garden Memorial Park.
