| Built in 1928-29, this is is a two-story Mission Revival style railroad depot with stucco-clad walls. This building was originally listed on the National Register on 25 November 1980 as element #403 in the Beach Boulevard Historic District. Because that historic district was severely ravaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the old district was superseded by the Old Bay St. Louis Historic District, which was placed on the National Register on 8 July 2010. The building is now listed as element #352 in the Old Bay St. Louis Historic District. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 21 March 1995. It is included in "Great American Railroad Stations" (1996) and "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (p. 337, GC6). |
