This building is listed as an element (#10) in the University of Southern Mississippi Historic District, which was placed on the National Register on 10 March 2010. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 20 August 1986.

It is included in "The State of Mississippi – Historic Properties" (1982) (p. 7)

Historic Information
Porches on north and west elevations were removed by the physical plant department in 1963. Interior renovations may date to that same period, although the detailing seems earlier.
