Context/Comments Originally built in 1902, this building was enlarged and remodeled in 1928 to its present Mission Style character. The architects for the remodeling and enlargement in 1928 were N.W. Overstreet and R.W. Naef. The building ceased to be used as a public school in 1987. It was one of five former school buildings to receive renovation funding from the Department of Education in 1995-96 as part of a state grant program for historic school buildings. This building also received renovation funding from the Legislature in Senate Bill 3215 of 1999.
