Context/Comments
Meeting place of Stringer Grand Lodge, Lynch Lodge No. 2, T.C. Almore Lodge No. 242, West Jackson Lodge No. 697, and other African-American (Prince Hall affiliation) Masonic groups. This was the site of the funeral of Medgar Evers in 1963. Various Civil Rights organizations met here during the 1960s.

This building was designated a Mississippi Landmark, upon owner request, on 13 April 2006.
