This bridge consisted of one Pratt through truss span, which was a commonly used type of truss span in Mississippi during the early 20th century. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 4 August 1987. It was listed on the National Register on 16 November 1988, as one of the components of the "Historic Bridges of Mississippi," a thematic group nomination prepared by Jack Elliott, historical archaeologist of MDAH. The bridge collapsed on 2 November 2002. After its collapse, it was delisted from the National Register on 7 April 2004. |
