The Leavenworth-Wasson-Carroll House, a very interesting two-story "half-timbered" Eastern Craftsman style house based on a plan published in The Craftsman in 1906, was built around 1913 for George Leavenworth. Its style certainly sets it apart from any other early twentieth-century residence in Greenville, and perhaps in the state. The house is also significant for its historic associations with prominent leaders in the community over the years. |
