Context/Comments
Built in 1897, the Attala County Courthouse was designed by A.J. Bryan & Company, of Atlanta, Georgia, who designed several other county courthouses in Mississippi. The contractors were Lindamood & Puckett, of Columbus, Miss. The courthouse was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 11 October 1985. It was individually listed on the National Register on 17 November 1997, and it was later included as a “previously listed” element (element #264) in the Kosciusko Historic District, which was placed on the National Register in 2009.

The building is included in "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (pp.207-208, CH21).
