Context/Comments A two-story brick temple-form building with a tetrastyle Ionic portico. It was supposedly constructed in 1837 but, from its appearance, was more likely to have been built in the 1840s. The building was similar enough to Lexington Male and Female Academy and the Lyceum at the University of Mississippi to suggest that its architect could have been William Nichols. It was demolished in 1923 to make way for the construction of (Old) Brandon High School.
