It was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 28 March 1985.

Brief Description
A T-shaped brick building with a largely Prairie Style character, consisting of 2 stories over a raised basement, with a pominent tetrastyle portico of brick piers; parapetted flat roof with vaguely Mission-style shaped parapet over portico; and wide, bracketted false eaves roofed with tile. The building has strong similarities to the (now non-extant) auditorium at the old School for the Blind in Jackson.
