Designed by R.H. Hunt & Company, Montgomery Hall was built in 1902-03. It is one of the oldest and most prominent buildings on the MSU campus. It was individually listed on the National Register on 26 March 1975 and was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 20 May 1986. Montgomery Hall is included in "Old Homes of Mississippi, Volume II: Columbus and the North" (1977) (p. 44), "The State of Mississippi – Historic Properties" (1982) (pp. 18-19), and "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (pp. 201-202, CH17.1). |
