Built about 1811, the Selma Plantation house is a significant example of a planter's cottage that was heavily influenced by the Creole architectural tradition as was common in the Natchez District during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It was listed on the National Register on 15 June 1989, with 55.3 acres of land. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark, at the request of the owner, on 1 November 1989.
