This building was built in 1903 to serve as the administration building for the Mississippi Synodical College. It now houses the Marshall County Historical Museum. It is listed as a contributing element (element #130) in the East Holly Springs Historic District, which was placed on the National Register on 20 April 1983 (as a component of the "Historic Resources of Holly Springs"). The building was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 2000. It is included in "Old Homes of Mississippi, Volume II: Columbus and the North" (1977) (pp. 90-91) and "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (pp.146-147, in the listing for the East Holly Springs Residential Neighborhood, NC12). |
