Context/Comments
A large two-story brick house with a monumental Corinthian tetrastyle portico and cast iron window lintels. Built in 1858, this house is exhibits a combination of late Greek Revival and Italianate stylistic character.

It is listed as a contributing element (element #91) in the East Holly Springs Historic District, which was placed on the National Register on 20 April 1983 (as a component of the "Historic Resources of Holly Springs").

It is included in "A Guide to Early American Homes – South" (1956) (pp. 131-132, as the Fant House), "Historic Architecture in Mississippi" (1973) (pp. 162-163), "Old Homes of Mississippi, Volume II: Columbus and the North" (1977) (p. 93), "Great Houses of Mississippi" (2004) (pp.57-60), and "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (p.147, in the listing for the East Holly Springs Residential Neighborhood, NC12).
