Context/Comments
A broad, low, one-story temple-form house with a hexastyle portico. Built by Martine Pickett Myers on land he acquired in 1850, its construction is documented by a letter, dated May 13, 1855, from Myers to his mother: "We are building a new house, commenced it last November, the brock work is not done and will not be finished before next fall or winter." The house is one of the best preserved examples of vernacular Greek Revival architecture in north Mississippi.

It was listed on the National Register on 7 March 1983.
