Context/Comments Plaza Lanes was the first modern commercial bowling alley in Corinth and the only one still in operation.It has been locally owned and continuously operated as a bowling alley since opening in 1960 as Gateway Lanes. A surviving bowling alley of this size built during this period is rare. Many bowling facilities constructed around the same time period as Plaza Lanes have been abandoned for newer technologies and are either vacant or no longer extant. It was listed on the National Register on 17 May 2019 from a nomination prepared by Meredith Massey of MDAH.
