This cemetery is a component of the St. Stanislaus Catholic School complex. The school was founded in 1854 by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart and became a college in 1870. In 1923 it became a college prepatory school. The school was an important factor in the early development of Bay St. Louis because it attracted a diverse group of instructors and students. The school remained open during the Civil War and had students from both side of the Mason-Dixon line. The school continues to be a vital part of the community of Bay St. Louis |

This is an ecclesiastical cemetery devoted to departed members of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart that have served as St. Stanislaus College. It is comprised of 184 marble headstones each sculpted in the form of a cross. These markers are arranged symmetrically and flank a central walk that is on an east west axis. The walk commences with a brick alter which supports a crucifix flanked by two standing figures and one kneeling figure. |
