Context/Comments
A two- story, double-pile, side-gabled brick Greek Revival house with a broad three-bay facade. It now has a monumental distyle portico, but this is a replacement (the original portico having been replaced by an Eastlake porch in the late 19th century).

This house was listed individually on the National Register on 14 March 1985.

It is included in "A Guide to Early American Homes – South" (1956) (p. 134, as Fairleigh Manor), "Old Homes of Mississippi, Volume II: Columbus and the North" (1977) (p. 22, as Rosewood Manor), and "Reflections: Homes and History of Columbus, Mississippi" (2001) (pp. 40-43, as Rosewood Manor). It is also included in an article in "Colonial Homes" magazine (April 1988).
