This narrow, wooden-deck suspension bridge, originally built in 1900 and repaired or rebuilt in 1915, was a rare surviving example of a type of vehicular bridge built on some rural roads in Mississippi in the early twentieth century. It was listed on the National Register in 1979 as a component of the "Swinging Suspension Bridges in Mississippi" Multiple Property Submission. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 30 May 1989. It had collapsed by 2016. (R.C., 2021) |
