Context/Comments A rare surviving example of vernacular Federal architecture, Laurietta is one of the most architecturally significant residences of rural Jefferson County. This outstanding architectural significance is based on the high degree of interior and exterior finish, the unusual architectural features, and the integrity of the house and its setting. This house was listed on the National Register on 24 November 1980, with 8.26 acres of land.
