Built in 1904, the Old Central Fire Station is the oldest extant fire station in Jackson. It was in use as a fire station until 1974. It was renovated in 1979 to house the offices of the Chamber of Commerce. The old Central Fire Station was listed on the National Register on 30 October 1975. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 26 September 1985.
