Born in New Orleans, and received his architectural education at Tulane University. He opened his own practice in Gulfport in 1921. Listed as a member of the Louisiana chapter of the AIA in the early 1920s, before becoming one of the founding members and first secretary-treasurer of the MS chapter of the AIA in 1929. Office in 1920s in Old Bank of Gulfport Building. During the 1930s (unknown range of dates), he maintained an office in Atlantic City, NJ, along with a branch office in Ocean City, NJ. In 1928, he was appointed by Gov. Bilbo to a four-year term to the new State Board of Architecture. He was president of the State Board of Architectural Examiners twice, and he served as State Architect for Mississippi under Gov. Bilbo (1928-1932), during this time working as consulting architect for the State Hospital at Whitfield. He was the Secretary/Treasurer for the MS Chapter of the AIA in 1931. In addition to these professional associations, he was a chairman of the Methodist Seashore board of trustees, and a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. His office is listed at 126 W.
