Designed by the architectural firm of Shourds & Bean, Giles Hall was originally built about 1927 as a livestock-judging pavilion. In 1975-76 it was substantially remodeled to become the home of the MSU School of Archiecture. It was enlarged in 1982. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 6 December 2019.
