The Helm House is a large, rambling galleried house, adorned with Italianate brackets and scrollwork. It is listed as a contributing element (element #1) in the Carrollton Historic District, which was placed on the National Register on 27 November 1978. It is included in "Old Homes of Mississippi, Volume II: Columbus and the North" (1977) (p. 139) and "Victorian Houses of Mississippi" (2005) (p. 32). |
