Context/Comments
In 1903 First National Bank of Greenville moved to this dignified Beaux Arts Classical building, designed by the architectural firm of Barber & Kluttz. An addition to east was added in 1971. This building is now used by the City of Greenville as the location of the Municipal Court.

This building was individually listed on the National Register on 30 January 1978, from a nomination prepared by MDAH architectural historian William C. Allen and MDAH historian Clinton Bagley. It was later included as a previously-listed element (element #18) in the Greenville Commercial Historic District, which was placed on the National Register on 10 October 1997, and was subsequently included as element #16 in the enlarged Greenville Commercial Historic District (Boundary Increase 1), which was placed on the National Register on 14 November 2012. It was designated a Mississippi Landmark in 1989.

It is included in "Musing through Towns in Mississippi" (1999) (p. 37), "The Majesty of the Mississippi Delta" (2002) (p.50), and "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (p.107, DR13).
