This historically notable African American church building was begun in 1901 and completed about 1908. The congregation was organized in 1899. It was listed on the National Register on 11 January 2017, from a nomination prepared by Nancy H. Bell, of the Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation. This building is mentioned in the introduction to "Historic Churches of Mississippi" (2007) and is included in "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (p.77, YB15). |
