Context/Comments
Built about 1870, the Perkins house is a wood-frame vernacular house that appears structurally to be a one-story variant of the single-galleried I-house form, with cabinet rooms flanking loggias on both front and back. The house has ornamental painting, done by a Mr. Mayer about 1890, on the walls and ceilings of the two principal rooms.

The house was originally located near the Moscow community (see 069-DKB-5504-NR-MVD), where it had been listed on the the National Register on 24 June 1994.

In 2012 it was moved to its present location about 15 miles to the east of its original site. It was re-listed on the National Register at its new location on 17 May 2016.
