The building was listed on the National Register on 5 November 1998, and it was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 17 July 2001.

Brief Description A two-story brick building that faces west. Formerly used as a public school, it has been converted into a multi-family apartment building. It has a flat roof behind a brick and cast stone parapet. The building is clad in dark red brick with cast stone accents. The façade of the horizontally-oriented building is broken up by repeated vertical two story piers. The façade is also broken up by three prominent entrances. The windows are 12-over-12 wood DHS with marginal glazing.
