Context/Comments
Built in 1926, this is an especially fine school building in an eclectic Georgian Revival style, featuring English bond brickwork, jack-arches over the windows, terracotta tile floors, cast stone inscription tablets, and a domed tempietto cupola. The south wing burned in 2009 and was rebuilt in 2012.

The school was designated a Mississippi Landmark on 24 May 2002.

It is included in "Buildings of Mississippi" (2020) (p. 311, PW17).
