Brief Description
This well-preserved, 2-story former school is brick construction with an overall Y-shaped form. The school features a long, horizontally-oriented principal wing with front projecting wings at either end of the façade (south). A gabled wing is centered on the rear elevation. The school is characterized by a bracketed eave overhang paired and single DH wood sash windows, many of which are topped by a round-arched, multi-light window. The façade is symmetrical. The entrance bay projects slightly with a gable roof. The elaborate entryway is a round-arched opening of cast stone flanked y cast stone pilasters with decorative urns and cast detailing. Above then entry is a large quatrefoil window with an elaborate cast stone surround. The entry bay features attached buttress at each corner. Primary windows are 9-over-9 DH wood sash with cast stone sills. Side entrances are recessed within round-arched brick openings.
