Brief Description
This grand, 2-story house is reinforced concrete construction with Neoclassical and Mediterranean influences. It is rectangular in form with a low-pitched side-gabled roof. The roof is enhanced by tile shingles. The exterior of the house is tinted cement coating. Stuccoed, exterior chimneys are at each end of the house. The symmetrical façade (east) is 5 bays (W, W, D, W, W) with a single leaf entry door. The windows on either side of the door are narrow, multi-light and fixed. The outer windows are 8-over-8 DH wood sash. A small balcony supported by decorative metal posts is above the door. It is topped by a metal balustrade. The 2nd floor of the façade is 3 bays (W, D, W) with a centered, door that opens onto the balcony. Primary windows on side and rear elevations are 6-over-6 DH wood sash. A lower 2-story gabled bay projects from the south. Its 1st floor is a sunroom with Doric columns. Between the columns are window walls. The upper floor has decorative metal support posts separated by full-height, multi-light casement-style doors.
