Built in 1893, the (Old) Harrison County Circuit Clerk's Office was a two story brick building that was the only surviving component of the old Harrison County Courthouse complex at Mississippi City before it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina on 29 August 2005. It had been designated a Mississippi Landmark on 4 August 1987, but its designation was rescinded by the MDAH Board of Trustees on 8 October 2010, because of the destruction of the building by Hurricane Katrina. |
